Most of the mobile systems on the market
today do not work. This is because an oil/water
separator that needs time for the oil to
float to the top of the water.
Alkota has adapted the ozonation pretreatment used
with their flocculation system to a skid
mounted system for the mobile cleaner.
Water is pumped or vacuumed to a cone bottom
tank. Water overflows from the cone bottom
tank to the Alkota mobile treatment system. The water enters
the ozonation column where ozone drives the
oil from the water. Oil is absorbed into
a sock at the top of the column. The sock
is replaced as needed.
The water then passes through a stainless
steel screen to remove any solids. An organoclay
polishing filter is also used to clean the
water for reuse by the pressure washer.
